Subsea service providers expand global operations and partnerships

Subsea services provider Omega Subsea has signed a long-term agreement to establish a new operational base at Hilleren Navy Supply Park in Mathopen, Norway. The facility will include approximately 1,500 square meters of workshop, warehouse, and office space, along with 500 square meters of outdoor space. The base is expected to be operational by January 1, 2027, with plans to recruit five to seven new employees during its initial phase.

In a separate development, Dubai-based Astro Offshore and Houston-based Oceaneering International have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on integrated offshore and subsea projects. The partnership combines Astro Offshore’s vessel capabilities with Oceaneering’s expertise in remotely operated vehicles (ROV) and survey services. The collaboration will utilize Astro Offshore’s newly acquired DP3 multi-purpose support vessel, the Astro Aurora, to support complex subsea construction, inspection, and maintenance activities.
