Substack introduces lists to enhance creator recommendations

Substack has launched a new feature called “lists,” allowing creators to curate and share collections of newsletters, podcasts, and publications they recommend. These lists are designed to make discovering new authors and editors easier by leveraging the trust users have in existing creators.

Each list includes its own activity feed, which displays the latest articles and notes from the included creators in chronological order. When a curator adds a new editor to a list, followers see the new content in their feed with a mention of the source list. Curators can manage these lists via a recommendation dashboard, providing names, descriptions, and personal notes for each entry. The feature also allows curators to track the amount of traffic their recommendations drive to other authors.
