Substack platform experiences growth in Germany

The Substack newsletter platform is seeing a rise in popularity within Germany, offering users a variety of content ranging from recipes and philosophical essays to art and travel photography. Unlike traditional social media platforms, Substack is described as providing a more personal experience with less intrusive advertising.

While the platform is currently dominated by American creators, German authors such as Alice Hasters, Florian Kessler, and Hengameh Yaghoobifarah have recently joined. The service allows writers to distribute content either for free or through paid subscriptions, often identifying societal trends and developments rapidly.
