Suburban League Cross Country Championships held in Canfield

The Suburban League Cross Country Championships were held at the Mill Creek MetroParks Farm in Canfield. The event was moved to the farm location due to muddy conditions at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

In the boys' race, McDonald sophomore Owen Cappuzzello won the 198-runner field with a time of 17 minutes, 42 seconds on the 3.1-mile course. East Liverpool senior Chris Miller took second place with a time of 18:12, notably finishing ahead of Beaver Local senior Luke Warrick, who placed third in 18:20.

In the girls' race, McDonald junior Naomi Sheesley secured her third consecutive victory in the Suburban League race.
