Suchdol celebrates St. Wenceslas Day with traditional festivities

The Suchdol district of Prague recently celebrated St. Wenceslas Day with a traditional procession and community gathering. The festivities began at the St. Wenceslas chapel, where a procession moved toward Brandejsov dvůr, accompanied by the singing of the song ‘Svatý Václav’ by a local ensemble.

The event highlighted the strong social cohesion and mutual aid characteristic of the Suchdol community. Local cultural associations contributed to the celebration through organized concerts, exhibitions, and traditional crafts, such as embroidered tablecloths and blue-printed skirts created through collaborative efforts among members.
