Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition announced for PS5
Sucker Punch Productions and Sony have announced the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 on October 1, 2026. This edition marks the one-year anniversary of the original game and bundles the base title with significant new content.
The expansion, titled “Echoes of Sekigahara,” provides a narrative deep dive into the protagonist Atsu’s past. The story alternates between the present day in Ezo and flashbacks to the Battle of Sekigahara on the mainland. Players will explore a new valley previously inhabited by The Snake and his followers, the Vipers, and encounter a character from Atsu’s past named Nagato.
Additionally, the update introduces “Most Wanted,” a single-player combat survival mode inspired by roguelike mechanics. In this mode, players accept bounties to start runs, earning perks and unlocking new playable characters such as Oyuki and Nagato. The Complete Edition also includes the “Legends” cooperative multiplayer mode and various quality-of-life improvements, such as new photo mode stamps and cosmetic items.
Existing owners of the base game can upgrade to the Complete Edition for approximately $14.99, while the full edition for new players is priced around $69.99.
