Sucre-Potosí tourist train set for January inauguration

Authorities in Chuquisaca and Potosí are coordinating the launch of the Sucre-Potosí tourist train. A joint meeting involving regional governors, local municipalities, central government representatives, and the company Ferrovial Andina is scheduled for November to finalize operational details.

The project has reached an estimated 91% completion regarding track maintenance, improvements, and cleaning of adjacent areas. Officials noted that challenges involving illegal settlements along certain sections of the route are currently being addressed. The official inauguration of the tourist route is planned for January 19 to stimulate regional economic activity.
