Sucre state launches new tourism coordination and tour routes

Authorities in Sucre state, Venezuela, are implementing new initiatives to promote and coordinate regional tourism. In Bermúdez, the Superior Tourism Body was established to unify tourism policies across national, state, and municipal levels. This body includes security agencies, service providers, and directors of infrastructure and technology to project Carúpano and Paria as safe destinations.

In Cumaná, the Sucre Tour route has been launched via a double-decker bus designed for guided tours. Managed by the Socialist Corporation for Tourism in Sucre (Corsotur), the service offers two main routes: a Historical Route covering cultural and religious monuments, and a Weekend Route focused on San Luis coastal beaches. The bus features an outdoor terrace and a service bar for local sweets and drinks, with tours priced at three dollars to help stimulate the local economy.
