Sucy-en-Brie homicide investigation launched after woman found dead

An investigation into homicide is underway in Sucy-en-Brie, Val-de-Marne, following the discovery of a woman's body in an apartment on Sunday. The Créteil Prosecutor's Office has classified the case as “voluntary homicide of an ascendant.”

Police initially responded to reports of domestic violence during the night between Saturday and Sunday. According to a police source, a man was arrested on suspicion of matricide. During the intervention, the suspect reportedly resisted, causing minor injuries to six police officers, though none required hospitalization. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the exact circumstances of the death.
