Suda Masaki to perform theme song for film ‘Jinsei o Kaeta Conte’

Suda Masaki has written and will perform the theme song ‘Kimi ga Warau made’ for the live-action film ‘Jinsei o Kaeta Conte’ (The Comedy That Changed My Life), scheduled for release on December 18. The song features guest vocals from Tortoise Matsumoto, who also appears in the film as the character Arakawa-sensei.

The film is based on the semi-autobiographical novel by Seiya, a member of the comedy duo Shimofuri Myojo. The story follows Ishikawa, played by Kazuya Ohashi of Naniwa Danshi, a student who overcomes bullying and personal struggles through the power of comedy and school theater festivals.

Suda Masaki noted that the theme song was created with the intention of being an ‘answer song’ to the Ulfuls classic ‘Waraereba,’ a track that served as emotional support for the original author during his high school years.
