Sudeten Revival Project Nominated for Czech Architecture Award

The "Křísení Sudet" development in the Karlovarský region has been nominated for the prestigious Czech Architecture Award. The project aims to revive the historically depopulated Sudeten and Krušné Hory area by converting an old site into summer camps and family mountain accommodation. Architects from No Architects designed a white steel‑clad structure that rests on a base of locally quarried stone, blending modern durability with regional materials. Completion is planned for 2025, and the design emphasizes both robust functionality for high visitor use and a renewed sense of place for the community.

The nomination highlights the project's focus on restoring identity to a region that lost its population decades ago, offering new life and tourism potential while preserving cultural memory.
