Sudirman Baru Station passenger volume triples amid Karet Station closure

Passenger volume at Sudirman Baru Station has increased threefold following the temporary closure of Karet Station for an integration project. KAI Commuter reported that during the morning rush on the second day of the diversion, the number of passengers disembarking at Sudirman Baru reached 8,662 by 12:00 WIB, a 281 percent increase from the previous daily average.

To manage the surge, KAI Commuter has activated electronic gates and ticket counters in the new eastern and western halls. The company has also enhanced lighting in pedestrian walkways and deployed security personnel to ensure passenger safety. Special assistance is being provided for elderly passengers and those with disabilities to maintain service responsiveness during the integration process.
