Sue Barclay raises $41,000 for Cancer Council via Shitbox Rally

Sue Barclay, a resident of Nyngan living with stage four ovarian cancer, has raised over $41,000 for the Cancer Council through her participation in the 2026 Shitbox Rally. Alongside her partner Nicole Martin, Barclay competed as part of team ‘Ute-R-Us’.

Since her diagnosis in April 2022, Barclay has undergone various treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and medical trials. She travels 1,200km every three weeks to receive care at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick. Barclay noted that a new medication has been a “miracle,” allowing her to continue living her life despite the terminal nature of her diagnosis.
