Sue Neill-Fraser claims innocence in 60 Minutes interview

Sue Neill-Fraser, a Tasmanian woman convicted of murdering her partner Bob Chappell in 2009, has spoken publicly for the first time since a parole-related gag order was lifted. In an interview with 60 Minutes, Neill-Fraser maintained her innocence, stating, “I’ve never physically harmed anybody, ever.”

Neill-Fraser, who served 13 years in prison, addressed why she previously lied to police regarding her whereabouts on the day of Chappell's disappearance from their yacht in Hobart. Now four years into her parole, she expressed fear for her personal safety and claimed there are “huge vested interests in keeping this quiet.” She also stated that if she were to die under suspicious circumstances, it should not be assumed to be self-harm.
