The Suffolk County Police Department’s Street Takeover Task Force arrested 15 individuals following a series of illegal street takeovers on Long Island. After tracking a group since Friday night and preventing takeovers in Islip and Patchogue, officers responded to a major incident in Medford just after midnight on Saturday.

In Medford, participants blocked Woodside Avenue to engage in drag racing, donuts, burnouts, and other dangerous stunts. Police reported that five of the arrested individuals were 18 years old. The group included eight residents from Nassau County and four from Suffolk County. Authorities impounded seven vehicles during the operation.
