Suframa Council to Review 40 Projects Worth R$3.2 B in Amazon Free Zone

The 323rd Ordinary Meeting of the Suframa Administrative Council (CAS) will be held on June 30 via videoconference. Officials will evaluate 40 industrial projects slated for the Amazon Free Zone, representing an estimated investment of R$3.18 billion, projected revenue of R$26.9 billion and the creation of about 1,126 jobs over three years.

Of the projects, 19 involve new enterprises with R$1.37 billion in planned spending and 568 jobs, while 21 focus on diversification or upgrades with R$1.81 billion and 558 jobs. Notable proposals include Tecumseh do Brasil’s R$53.74 million plant for hermetic compressors (107 jobs), Valgroup AM’s R$105.79 million flexible‑packaging line (51 jobs), Luxpay’s tablet manufacturing (66 jobs), Procomp Amazônia’s electronic voting urn expansion (over R$135 million), Yamaha Motor da Amazônia’s R$343.91 million plant update, Jabil Industrial’s electric‑bicycle line (45 jobs), Tesa Brasil’s adhesive film production and SICPA’s digital‑printing inks.

The meeting, originally planned for Manaus, was moved online as Minister Márcio Elias Rosa of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Trade joined the President’s Mercosur delegation in Asunción. Suframa superintendent Leopoldo Montenegro highlighted the projects as evidence of the free‑zone model’s capacity to attract investment, modernize industry and generate sustainable regional development.
