Sugar beet yields drop in Lower Silesia due to weather
In Lower Silesia, drought and spring frosts have negatively impacted sugar beet production. Farmer Paweł Boś, based in Gądków, reports that yields are approximately 20 percent lower than usual.
Despite the reduced yields, Boś is expanding his contracted acreage for the upcoming season. In addition to managing his own 120 hectares, he provides specialized agricultural services to other farms, utilizing Holmer T5.40 and T4.40 harvesters and a Holmer Terra Variant transport vehicle. He emphasizes that successful production relies on traditional plow cultivation, proper soil preparation, and timely responses to changing weather conditions.
