Sugar Road cities to host digital stamp rally
Eight cities along the historic Nagasaki Kaido, known as the ‘Sugar Road,’ will host a digital stamp rally from October 1 to December 28, 2026. The event aims to promote regional revitalization and drive tourism by highlighting the area's long-standing sugar and confectionery culture.
Organized by the Sugar Road Liaison Council with technical support from the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) Fukuoka branch, the rally involves 24 designated spots across Nagasaki, Isahaya, Omura, Ureshino, Ogi, Saga, Iizuka, and Kitakyushu. Participants use smartphones to scan QR codes at various locations to collect digital stamps.
Participants can enter drawings for prizes based on the number of stamps collected, including hotel vouchers, assorted local sweets, and regional specialty sets.
