Sugar stack collapse injures five workers in Amatlán de los Reyes

Five workers were injured on Friday night after a stack of sugar sacks collapsed inside a warehouse belonging to the sugar company GRL in Amatlán de los Reyes, Veracruz.

The accident occurred while the employees were performing their duties inside the facility. The exact cause of the collapse has not yet been determined. Following the incident, coworkers assisted in rescuing the men from the sugar before emergency services arrived.

Paramedics from the Amatlán Civil Protection and the Red Cross provided initial medical assessment. Due to the severity of their injuries, all five workers were urgently transported to a hospital in Córdoba for medical attention. Preliminary reports indicate their health conditions are delicate.
