Sugawara-kun Racing secures class finishes in MEC120 endurance races

Sugawara-kun Racing, led by Yuichi Sugawara, has completed its first two appearances in the MEC120 endurance racing series.

In the season opener held at Suzuka Circuit in July 2026, the team, featuring drivers Yuichi Sugawara and Yukihiko Yamamoto, finished 19th overall and 7th in the Ama-Ama class. Sugawara, a tax accountant and YouTuber, prepared for the race through nine months of simulator and circuit training.

In the second round held at Mobility Resort Motegi in September 2026, the team improved its performance. Despite wet conditions during the race weekend, the duo secured 13th place overall and a 6th place finish in the Ama-Ama class, climbing 16 positions from their qualifying rank.
