Suhyup Central Federation launches anti-corruption and integrity campaign

The Suhyup Central Federation has launched a comprehensive campaign to strengthen internal controls and establish a culture of integrity within the organization. On the morning of the 17th, CEO Kim Ki-seong and other executives led a campaign at the headquarters in Seoul to promote anti-corruption measures and prevent workplace harassment and preferential treatment.

As part of its 2026 anti-corruption and integrity plan, the federation is focusing on 21 specific tasks aimed at eradicating corruption. Key initiatives include the use of self-diagnosis checklists for the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, the promotion of a ‘Mutual Respect Integrity Pledge’ to combat nepotism and unfair work orders, and the implementation of anonymous online reporting channels for misconduct.

To ensure systemic oversight, the federation is conducting mock corruption reporting drills, monitoring corporate card transactions, and auditing private contracts. The organization aims to move beyond one-time events by integrating these integrity standards into daily operations to build greater trust among fishermen and the public.
