SuKarne meat trailer recovered after chase on Veracruz-Puebla highway
Guardia Nacional forces recovered a refrigerated trailer loaded with meat for the Mexican company SuKarne on the Veracruz‑Puebla (highway 150D) corridor. The operation was part of the federal "Estrategia Balam" (also known as "Cero Robos") aimed at curbing cargo‑theft on high‑risk routes.
Intelligence and tactical tracking led agents to locate the stolen unit near kilometre 236 in Magueyes, Maltrata, Veracruz. After a roughly 10‑kilometre pursuit that ended at kilometre 226 in the community of San José Cuyachapa, a man was detained in the municipality of Esperanza, Puebla. The trailer, its refrigerated box and the meat cargo were seized in full, with no shots fired and no risk to third parties.
