Sukhbir Badal's close aide shot in Punjab's Mansa district

Dalvir Singh Kala, a close aide of Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal and former Zila Parishad member, was shot in the abdomen by an unidentified assailant on a motorcycle while at his shop in Bareta town, Mansa district, Punjab. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Punjab police have opened an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and seeking the motive behind the attack. Kala is also known as Kala Jabandha and serves as the party's zone in‑charge.
