Sukhoi Su-57 fighter jet shows high modernization potential
Mikhail Strelets, an executive at the Sukhoi Design Bureau, stated that the Su-57 fighter jet platform possesses significant potential for modernization. According to an interview published by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), the modular design allows for the development of various improved versions from the base model, including two-seat combat trainers, naval variants, and unmanned versions.
Strelets noted that the aircraft utilizes digital design and testing for individual components, alongside the extensive use of composite materials. These technological solutions aim to balance conflicting requirements such as radar reflectivity, aerodynamics, and durability. The goal of these upgrades is to maintain combat advantages through high maneuverability, stealth capabilities, and multi-role functionality for both air and ground targets.
