Sukkos traditions and Chassidic teachings highlighted

During the holiday of Sukkos, various teachings and historical anecdotes regarding the Ushpizin—spiritual guests welcomed each night—are being highlighted. These include connections between biblical figures and Chassidic leaders such as the Baal Shem Tov, the Alter Rebbe, and the Mittler Rebbe.

In one account, the Mittler Rebbe is noted for expanding upon the teachings of the Alter Rebbe to make them more accessible. Another story recounts a consultation with the second Chabad Rebbe, where a young man was advised to open a store to earn a living.

Additionally, Rabbi Leibel Schapiro shares a memory from a 1966 Sukkos gathering held in heavy rain. He observes the Rebbe reciting the blessing for sitting in the Sukkah despite the weather, suggesting that a person who does not find the rain a burden remains obligated to perform the mitzvah and recite the blessing.
