SUKMA XXII: Sarawak and Sabah athletes secure bronze in aquatic events

At the XXII Selangor 2026 Malaysia Games (SUKMA), athletes from Sarawak and Sabah secured bronze medals in aquatic disciplines at the Darul Ehsan Aquatic Centre.

In the men’s 100-metre butterfly swimming event, Matthias Liew Ming Zhi of Sarawak claimed bronze with a time of 55.99 seconds. He finished just 0.03 seconds behind silver medalist Muhammad Dhuha Zulfikry and 0.13 seconds behind gold medalist Goh Li Hen.

In the men’s 10m platform diving event, Muhammad Anilrian Normatrud Abdullah earned a bronze medal for Sabah. He scored 340.65 points to secure third place in a field of 11 divers, following top performances by Sarawak representatives.
