National Police Chief Suyudi Ario Seto has removed AKBP Andika Dharma Sena from his position as Sukoharjo Police Chief. The decision follows a controversial early morning raid on the Hamalatul Quran female boarding school in Sukoharjo, Central Java, on October 27, 2026.

The raid, which was part of an investigation into arson and property damage at a local food stall, reportedly involved the intimidation of 12 female students and four teachers. In addition to the Police Chief, three other officers, including the Head of Criminal Investigation, the Head of General Crimes, and the Head of Women and Children Protection, have been deactivated and are undergoing ethics examinations by the National Police Internal Affairs Division (Propam).

AKBP Andika Dharma Sena has been reassigned as a Middle Officer (Pamen) at the National Police Headquarters for evaluation. AKBP Indra Maulana Saputra has been appointed as the new Sukoharjo Police Chief. Various organizations, including the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU), have expressed appreciation for the National Police Chief’s decisive response to public concerns regarding the incident.
