Suksomruay Wantaneeyakul addresses controversy over watching concert livestream in Parliament

Suksomruay Wantaneeyakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, has addressed public criticism regarding images showing her watching a live concert stream on an iPad during a parliamentary session.

She explained that the incident occurred during a long, stressful late-night meeting. As a long-time fan of the musical duo Asanee-Wasan, she had originally purchased concert tickets but could not attend due to official duties in Amnat Charoen province. After seeing a fellow member watching a paid livestream on an iPad, she requested to view the broadcast briefly to relieve stress.

Suksomruay clarified that she only looked at the screen momentarily when she was struck by the beautiful attire of performer Nantida Kaewbuasai. She emphasized that she did not abandon her duties or watch the concert continuously, and denied that any loud audio disturbed the proceedings. She expressed her sincere apologies for any negative impact the images had on public perception.
