Sulawesi Barat celebrates 22nd anniversary with religious and community events

Sulawesi Barat is celebrating its 22nd anniversary through a series of religious and community events in Mamuju. The celebrations included a Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW commemoration attended by Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, West Sulawesi Police Chief Irjen Pol Adi Deriyan Jayamarta, and Governor Suhardi Duka.

In addition to religious observances, the province held the Sulbar Fun Run 2026. The event saw high community participation, exceeding the initial target of 810 participants. Governor Suhardi Duka expressed his hope that the fun run becomes an annual tradition to promote a healthy lifestyle and strengthen social cohesion within the province.
