Sulawesi provinces receive fiscal incentives for regional achievements

The provincial governments of South Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi have received fiscal incentives following the 2026 Batch II Regional Sulawesi Outstanding Local Government Awards. The awards, presented by the Ministry of Home Affairs, recognize various achievements in regional governance.

In South Sulawesi, Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman reported receiving first-place honors in the Waste Management and Beautiful Environment category, as well as the 3 Million Houses Program implementation category. He stated that the resulting fiscal incentives will be directed toward public welfare, specifically mentioning plans to support house renovation programs for those in need.

In Southeast Sulawesi, Governor Andi Sumangerukka received Rp3 billion in appreciation funds after the province secured second place in two categories: Access and Quality of Health Services and Waste Management and Beautiful Environment. The governor noted that health services remain a primary development focus and highlighted ongoing community environmental cleanliness initiatives.
