Sulbiate Library Opens Permanently in Valle Muricana, Rome
The Biblioteca Sulbiate in Valle Muricana reopened on 22 July as a permanent branch of the Biblioteche di Roma after a temporary relocation following renovation work at the Galline Bianche site in Labaro. Residents had appealed for the library to remain, gathering a petition that influenced the decision. Municipio XV President Daniele Torquati and School and Culture Assessor Tatiana Marchisio confirmed the library will stay open, citing its positive impact on families and the neighbourhood. The facility now offers lending, study rooms, coworking space and children’s activities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays, with plans to extend hours in coming months.
