Sulejów expands tourism infrastructure with multi-million PLN investment
The municipality of Sulejów is expanding its tourism infrastructure through two major projects totaling approximately 12.5 million PLN. Supported by European Union funding, the initiatives aim to develop sustainable tourism in the region.
The first project involves the construction of a bicycle path starting from national road No. 12 through Murowaniec, including three footbridges and a pedestrian-cyclist route to Barkowice. This component is valued at 6.3 million PLN.
The second project focuses on developing a tourism and recreation complex at the Sulejów Reservoir in Barkowice. Valued at 4.5 million PLN, this development will include piers, a beach, a kayak marina, sanitary facilities, and space for gastronomy. The works will be carried out by ESINVEST GROUP under a ‘design and build’ model, with an estimated completion time of 15 months. A future component of the regional development plan includes the construction of a lookout tower.
