Sulmona hospital patient faces investigation after assaulting two nurses
A 30-year-old man is facing legal consequences after allegedly assaulting two nurses at the Annunziata Hospital in Sulmona, Italy. The incident occurred in the cardiology ward when the patient, who was hospitalized for heart issues, reacted violently to the news that he would have to share his room with another patient due to bed availability.
According to reports, the man’s outburst included shouting in the corridors and stripping off his clothes. He reportedly threw a remote control at the two healthcare workers. The situation required intervention from both the police and the carabinieri to restore order.
The Public Prosecutor's Office of Sulmona has issued a formal notice of investigation to the man on suspicion of personal violence. Following the incident, the two nurses required medical attention for anxiety, and the patient was subsequently discharged from the hospital.
