Sulmona prosecutor investigates assault of eight-year-old boy

An investigation has been launched by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Sulmona following the physical assault of an eight-year-old boy in front of a school. The incident involved a man approximately 40 years old, who is currently under investigation and facing potential legal proceedings.

According to the Carabinieri of the Castel di Sangro Company, the man went to the school to pick up his son. After his son reported that a classmate had broken a bracelet he received for Halloween, the man identified the child responsible and approached him near the school building. The man allegedly struck the child in the face with several slaps and delivered a kick that caused the boy to fall to the ground.

The child was taken to the emergency room at the Castel di Sangro hospital, where medical professionals determined the injuries would require approximately one week to heal. The child's parents have filed a formal complaint.
