Sulmona theater partnership renewed and Abruzzo waste management transition discussed

In Sulmona, the municipal government has initiated negotiations with the association Meta Aps to manage the prose seasons at the Teatro Maria Caniglia for the 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 periods. Local officials expressed satisfaction with the decision, citing Meta Aps’s previous professional results and its ability to strengthen the theater's role as a regional cultural hub through public-private collaboration.

In Abruzzo, regional leaders and mayors of the Piomba-Fino Waste Consortium met in Pescara to discuss the transition from the current commissioner-led management to ordinary governance. With the commissioner period set to expire on December 31, 2026, the meeting focused on organizational scenarios to ensure operational continuity, waste cycle efficiency, and financial sustainability. Discussions included the reconstitution of governing bodies and the implementation of an industrial plan to rebalance the budget.
