Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrives in UK for state visit

Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman has arrived in the United Kingdom for a three-day state visit, marking the first visit by an Omani sovereign to the UK in 44 years. The Sultan was received at Windsor by King Charles III, Queen Camilla, and Prince William.

Due to the Sultan traveling without his spouse, the traditional greeting protocol was adjusted. Prince William met the Sultan at his accommodation alone before proceeding to Windsor, where Catherine, Princess of Wales, joined the royal family to welcome the guest.

The ceremonial reception involved a convoy of state coaches traveling to Windsor Castle. Following the official arrival, the Princess of Wales participated in the scheduled program alongside Prince William, including attending the state banquet in the evening.
