Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah inaugurates Parit Buntar Hospital

Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, the Sultan of Perak, officially inaugurated the Parit Buntar Hospital in the Kerian district. The ceremony was attended by the Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim, Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, and Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.

Built at a cost of RM173.3 million on 5.594 hectares of land, the hospital consists of six three-story buildings with a 76-bed capacity. The facility includes specialized services in medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, and obstetrics and gynecology, as well as male, female, and pediatric wards, a delivery ward, and a High Dependency Unit (HDU).

Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad noted that the hospital serves approximately 170,000 residents in the Kerian district and holds a strategic location bordering Penang and Kedah. The project, which began in 2018, aims to strengthen the state's healthcare network and support the Perak Sejahtera 2030 vision.
