Turkish municipalities host community festivals and social welfare programs
Various municipalities across Turkey are conducting social welfare and community engagement programs for children.
In Bursa, the Metropolitan Municipality held its 12th traditional mass circumcision ceremony at Merinos Park, involving 537 children. The event included Mehteran performances and religious services. Similarly, Sultangazi Municipality organized a ceremony for 1,500 children.
Educational initiatives are also underway as the new school year approaches. Denizli Metropolitan Municipality hosted a ‘Hello to School’ festival featuring science workshops, art, and music. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality held a ‘Farewell to Summer’ event at the Atatürk Children and Natural Life Park, providing workshops and social support for families. In Konya, a single-teacher school in Gökçeyurt celebrated the start of the term with its two students.
Other local events include a family festival organized by the Eskişehir Chamber of Industry and a youth football tournament in Çorum.
