Sultanpur: School principal and wife found murdered in campus

A school principal and his wife were found murdered in a private school campus in Kumbhi Dadia village, Sultanpur district, Uttar Pradesh. The victims have been identified as Mukesh Singh, 45, a principal at Khanuhat Composite School and president of a teacher union, and his wife, Vinita Singh, 42.

The bodies were discovered on Tuesday morning by a school driver. Police recovered weapons used in the attack from the scene, including an axe, a spade, and a knife. Preliminary findings suggest Vinita was attacked inside a room, while Mukesh Singh’s body was found approximately 150 meters away.

Investigators are looking into several motives, including potential links to upcoming teacher union elections. The elections, originally scheduled for September 30, had been postponed to September 28. Local police, led by Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal, are currently analyzing evidence and statements to identify the perpetrators.
