Brazil municipalities implement urban infrastructure and maintenance projects

Various municipal governments across Brazil are implementing infrastructure and urban maintenance projects to improve public services and mobility.

In Campo Grande, an investment of over R$ 26.1 million is being directed toward paving and drainage in the Vilas Nogueira and Aimoré regions. Similarly, Maceió has completed the paving and drainage of 34 streets in Village Campestre 2 and Canto do Mainá, covering 17 kilometers of roads. In Sumé, a R$ 3 million investment is underway for asphalt paving and drainage to improve local access. In Cuiabá, paving works are progressing in the Três Barras neighborhood, while the city has also launched an educational campaign to encourage the removal of abandoned vehicles and scrap from public sidewalks.

Maintenance efforts are also focused on sanitation and environmental management. Santos conducted a large-scale cleaning of its drainage system in Alemoa to prevent flooding, while Guarujá is recovering 45 roads following sanitation works. In Itabuna, drainage upgrades are being implemented on Avenida Aziz Maron to support a new road complex. Additionally, Manaus has intensified urban cleaning in its East Zone, and Tubarão has begun removing large exotic trees near power lines and buildings to mitigate safety risks.
