Sumé Mayor Signs $513k Contract for New Entrance Portal

On July 30, 2026, Mayor Manezinho Lourenço of Sumé, Paraíba, Brazil, signed a transfer contract that secures roughly R$ 513,000 to build a new Entrance Portal for the municipality.

The funding is provided by the federal government through the Ministry of Tourism, made possible by a parliamentary amendment from Senator Veneziano Vital do Rêgo, with a matching contribution from the city. The signing ceremony was attended by local councilors, and the mayor said, “It is a happiness to sign this contract. Soon we will deliver an important work for Sumé, meeting a demand the population has had for a long time.”
