Prabowo Subianto meets Bakom leaders in Hambalang

President Prabowo Subianto met with the leadership of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom) at his residence in Hambalang, West Java. During the meeting, which included Bakom Head Syahganda Nainggolan and Deputy Head Fadli Tri Hartono, the President emphasized the need for more effective and accessible public communication.

Prabowo instructed Bakom to use simpler language to ensure government programs and policies are easily understood by the public. He also directed the agency to move beyond merely reporting government activities by explaining the underlying reasoning and philosophy behind specific policies. Furthermore, the President called for a two-way communication model, urging Bakom to actively listen to public criticism, complaints, and input to be relayed back to relevant ministries and the President.

Separately, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued weather forecasts indicating that the 2026/2027 rainy season may arrive later than usual, with some regions expected to see rain starting in November or December. This delay is attributed to strong El Niño conditions and the Indian Ocean Dipole. Various regions across Indonesia are currently experiencing diverse weather conditions, ranging from heavy clouds and light rain to drought warnings in areas like Cirebon.
