Sumedang prosecutor detains former Kesbangpol head over corruption

The Sumedang District Attorney's Office (Kejari Sumedang) has detained the former head of the Sumedang National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol), identified by the initials AT. The detention is related to the alleged corruption and misuse of the 2024-2025 budget, which reportedly caused state losses of approximately Rp1.1 billion.

AT was held for 20 days at the Class IIB Sumedang Correctional Institution following an intensive eight-hour investigation. Authorities have also named a private individual, identified as AS, as a suspect in the case, though only AT has been detained at this stage. Investigators are currently working to determine the specific modus operandi of the alleged crime.
