Sumenep hosts 2026 Tong Tong Music Festival

The 2026 Tong Tong Music Festival took place in Sumenep, Madura, featuring 27 musical groups from across the island. The event, which is part of the Road to Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) 2026, drew thousands of spectators to the streets of Sumenep.

Participants included 18 groups from Sumenep, eight from Pamekasan, and one from Sampang. This year, every participant was required to perform the song ‘Guwa Pajudan’ to promote the historical charm of local tourism destinations.

Sumenep Regent Achmad Fauzi Wongsojudo and the Head of the Culture, Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office, Faruk Hanafi, emphasized that the festival serves as a vital platform for preserving Madurese cultural identity and ensuring traditional arts are passed down to younger generations.
