Sumenep sends 128 athletes to POPDA XV in Ngawi

The Sumenep Regency Government has officially dispatched its student-athlete contingent to compete in the 15th Regional Student Sports Week (POPDA XV) in Ngawi, East Java. The delegation consists of 128 athletes, 37 coaches, and six officials.

During the send-off ceremony held at the Sumenep Regent's Office, Vice Regent KH Imam Hasyim emphasized that the event serves as a strategic platform for students to test their skills and gain competitive experience rather than just a pursuit of medals. He urged the athletes to maintain high levels of discipline, mental readiness, and confidence when facing competitors from other regions.

In addition to performance goals, the Vice Regent stressed the importance of sportsmanship and fair play. The local government also expressed appreciation for the coaches and officials involved in the long-term preparation and development of the region's youth sports ecosystem.
