Sumina Maruyama to perform insert song for new drama “Mou Papa!”

Singer-songwriter Sumina Maruyama will provide the insert song “Daisuki I love you” for the new Japanese drama “Mou Papa!”, which premieres on October 4 on ABC TV and TV Asahi. The song, written specifically for the series, is a pop love song that reflects the feelings of the protagonist, Noriko, played by Nanoka Hara.

In addition to the single release on October 7, Maruyama is scheduled to release her first full-length album, also titled “Sumina Maruyama”, on November 11. The album will feature 12 tracks, including “Daisuki I love you” and live performances such as “Aoi Heya” and “Kono Machi”.

The drama “Mou Papa!” explores the complexities of family life in the social media age, focusing on the relationship between a father who uses his daughter’s life for content and the daughter struggling to find her own identity.
