Sumit Mathur scores unbeaten 50 for Delhi in Ranji Trophy

Delhi all-rounder Sumit Mathur contributed an unbeaten 50 to help his team reach a total of 309 for five during a Ranji Trophy match against Jharkhand at the JSCA International Stadium. The performance brings Mathur’s first-class batting average to 40.25 across 14 appearances.

Mathur highlighted a significant 128-run undefeated partnership with skipper Ayush Badoni, noting that Badoni’s stroke-playing style makes it easier for him to build an innings. This follows a 167-run partnership between the two players in the previous week's game against Gujarat.

While improving his batting, Mathur acknowledged the need to enhance his wicket-taking potency and bowling accuracy to remain consistent during long spells.
