Sumitomo Warehouse subsidiary earns ISO13485 certification

Sumitomo Warehouse announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Sumitomo Warehouse (Europe), has obtained the ISO13485:2016 certification for medical device quality management systems.

This international standard evaluates management systems across processes including development, manufacturing, logistics, and sales to ensure the safety and quality of medical devices. The certification specifically covers warehouse storage, transportation, and forwarding services. The certification was granted by LRQA Limited and registered through the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) for the company’s Antwerp branch in Belgium.
