Summa Gold Corporation invests over S/ 159 million in La Libertad infrastructure
Infrastructure investment in the La Libertad region of Peru has exceeded S/ 159 million through the ‘Obras por Impuestos’ (Works for Taxes) mechanism. The funding has been provided by the mining company Summa Gold Corporation, according to reports from Proinversión and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
One major ongoing project is the construction of the Sanagorán – Marcahuamachuco highway. This 11.2-kilometer road project requires an investment of 57 million soles and is expected to be completed within 360 days. The road aims to improve connectivity for 42 population centers and facilitate access to the Marcahuamachuco archaeological complex to promote local tourism.
Summa Gold has implemented 12 projects totaling over 180 million soles in areas including road infrastructure, drinking water, sanitation, electrification, education, and public spaces. Other notable works include improvements to the Gran Mariscal Ramón Castilla school in Cuypampa and electrical network upgrades in Corral Grande.
