Summer Bon Odori festivals scheduled for August 2026 in Urayasu and Kobe

Various regional Bon Odori summer festivals are scheduled to take place in Japan during mid-August 2026.

In Urayasu, the Noryo Bon Odori Festival will be held at the Urayasu Elementary School playground on August 14 and 15 from 18:30 to 21:00. The event features food stalls, primarily located on the street in front of the Chuo Community Center. Traffic restrictions will be in effect from 13:00 to 23:00 on both days, and organizers recommend using public transportation as no dedicated parking is available for visitors.

In Kobe, the 2nd Aoki Jisha Fureai Bon Odori is set for August 16 at the Sunshine Wharf Kobe event plaza. The festivities will begin with food stalls at 15:00, followed by the Bon Odori dance starting at 18:00 and continuing until 21:00.
